Chipsets in tplink vr2800
« on: June 14, 2021, 03:33:58 AM »

Chipsets
So I've read that the broadcom BCM63168 is a good one
I've just got a zyxel XMG3927-B50A but not set it up yet

What has the tplink vr2800 got, is it BCM63168 chipset or the newer BCM63138
I know tplink lockdown full access to some and want to know if that's the case with the vr2800

The ISP routers and modems always had a upload of 8+ while tplinks managed 5 up (tplink vr2100 and w9970 v1)

I always check routers by typing their name and "wiki" at the end to see if it shows up on that site.  Particularly useful when trying to find out of a device might ever get OpenWRT support, ironically in those cases were looking for the complete opposite of ANYTHING BUT Broadcom.  ;)
