I actually use DNS over TLS which is always slow compared to plain unencrypted DNS.

However as it happens on my router with plain DNS over the LAN, the routers cache more than makes up for the difference.

Like an idiot i lost the settings that were originally in the router but a bit of searching came up with 79.79.79.79 + 79.79.79.80 so i switched and now get this so i assume its best to stay with the Talk Talk DNS?

Any advice would be most welcome as this page loading issue is doing my head in.

My ISP/CP is also TalkTalk but I have not used their DNS servers for many years. I am currently using CloudFlare (1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1).

The TalkTalk DNS servers that were offered to me (at the last service start) were 79.79.79.77 and 79.79.79.78. As far as I am aware, they have a number of servers.

(I thought Father Jack had decided to use CloudFlare . . .)

I did but after switching to 79.79.79.79 the slow site seemed to work fine  however after a few minutes the slow speeds returned, i am giving up and have switched back to cloudflare as its obviously not the DNS that is causing it, the site seems to load fine most of the time so i will put up with it when it decided to have a slow down its not worth spending any more time trying to sort it as all others work fine at the same time this one acts up.

Thanks to all for all your help.

From what you have just explained, I have to agree that your problem is not related to the DNS server(s) currently in use.

Thanks to all for all your help.

You are welcome.

Your first post Pic 2 shows NAT disabled.
Are you sure that's what you want?

I am not sure if it should be disabled or enabled i haven't messed with it as far as i know, i am doing a bit of searching and have already found -

Re: Why can’t I find how to enable NAT on my ‘wifi hub’ router?
That is fine, to be precise, it is the Sagemcom FAST5364 WiFi hub.

When you ask how to enable NAT, do you mean where it says it is disabled in the Device Info display within its Network section?

I found this while searching its not  from a Talk Talk forum just general discussion,  as mine is off and the internet is working fine i guess that the way Talk Talk set them up.

If NAT is turned off, the device will work on pure-router mode which can transmit data only. Please DO NOT turn it off unless your ISP supports this mode, otherwise you will lose Internet connection.
Notice: The default status of NAT is Enabled, so without special demand, please don't select the Disable option

Regarding the "TT hub", who is the manufacturer and what is the model?
