dslreports - anyone actually there?
« on: May 29, 2021, 10:33:11 AM »

does anyone have any current dealings with dslreports.com ?
i attempted to contact them via their "adminhelp" email account, but it gets bounced back saying unknown account
it seems the user "justin" that the email gets auto forwarded to is no longer there.

Have you tried their forum, one of the mods should be able to help.

Although saying that, the first post that hit me at the top of my page stream, is that one of the mods was on holiday until June 1st.
I'm sure there are plenty of other mods on there though who will be able to help you depending upon the relevant subject you were wanting to contact them about.

that's the reason i need to contact them, due to not being able to get access

their contact page says to email adminhelp@dslreports.com, or contact (justin), but if you email that account it gets bounced back saying "justin@dlsr.net" is an unknown user.

Is the restriction applicable to your account username, or more global such as IP block.
I was wondering about the possibility of signing up under a new username/account to be able to contract one of the mods asking for admin help with your existing account.

It’s just an account issue/query, not really something a forum mod could deal with.
But it spare appears that Justin (who I assume is the owner) hasn’t even been active there since October 2020

Haven't really had any dealings with the team since Karl Bode left.

Forums are still really busy, and are volunteer run, but zero work on the rest of the website.

Its all very strange, how is it being funded if nobody is at the helm?

the dslreports.com domain expires on 12th July 2021, so i guess we'll see if it gets renewed or not.
if it does then someone must be paying the bills.
