Plusnet bill?
« on: April 13, 2021, 06:45:06 PM »

I left Plusnet quite a while ago ( can't remember when exactly) and I get emails saying a bill is owed to them of £1.39, a weird amount?
And strangely nothing is taken from my account  ???
I'm not bothered just wondering why?

Probably because their billing system has never been fit for purpose.

Plusnet's billing system has been a mystery to many since their "upgrade" at the end of 2018, after 2 years of billing and contract dates issues I left in December 2020 after 11 years of partonage.

Be aware that they are notorious for passing any perceived outstanding "debt" to third part debt collection agencies which can be very troublesome to resolve and could effect your credit rating, although, for such a small amount would doubt if this would be practical but with Plusnet who knows?

My choice would be just pay the £1.39, from long experience probably a waste of time trying to find out exactly what it's for and certainly not worth the hassle, obviously, the decision is yours.

Ive just been billed £11.99 over the amount due. They agreed it’s wrong, but I don’t get the refund until the next billing period. It really is atrocious their billing. I’m leaving and moving my second line to Zen I’m expecting mega billing issues after

You can insist on an immediate refund, I did so successfully a number of times after they started charging me line rental in the midddle of a period where yearly line rental saver was still valid, they never did manage to fix that either, just issued a refund every month!

PN's billing system, lost cause, best to just move on.
Be sure to snapshot all the "ticket" communication associated with any issue or even routine billing as some history has been known to mysteriously disappear, especially around departure time.

Interesting, thanks for the replies.
As I said nothing has been taken from my account.
That's why I thought it strange.
I guess it's a cock-up of some sort at their end?

No, a cock up is when something out of the ordinary goes wrong.

In Plusnet's case this is pretty much business as usual.
