Old Hardware Discs
« on: July 30, 2008, 01:31:54 PM »

Trying to tidy up spare bedroom/hobby room, but keep stopping to read things have managed to throw three things out so far .
Came across CDs for old computer (W98), i.e for motherboad, sound card, graphics card and one I'm not sure but it says Diamond Multimedia, before I ditch them are they of any use.

Also found the original Amiga Workbench 2.05 floppy disks. I really must spring clean more often

When you come across the paper version of the Doomsday Book, recycle it with your newspapers because it wil be out of date.   :P

if you have a fruiting bush in the garden, hang them on bits of string within the bush (so you can't see them too well) It's great for scaring the birds off picking at the berries

Its okay Mr TD I'm very bird friendly, to be honest garden is a bit much for me now, its quite long, and the bottom third is a wilderness of brambles, bindweed and a few bushes that have managed to survive, the birds love it.  Looks as if there is going to be a good crop of blackberries this year.

Lexmark 1100 Color Jet printer anyone.

I think a mini skip would probably be more appropriate.
Round here if you shake hands with anyone you count your fingers afterwards. ;D

I guggested scaring the birds off with the fact the bush may be one you've grown to harvest yourself. ;)

As for a good crop of blackberries... ask any bt engineer who has to climb poles that time of year. One pole I can remember everthing at the top was covered in a purple paste, and I really mean everything. by the time I finished I looked as if I was wearing a Barcalona FC shirt

Mind you it's good to see so many people picking from the hedges along the country roads, plenty for Man and beast  ;D

I love the birds in my garden, in fact, the more the merrier, just need a bigger Jacuzzi to accommodate every-one.

Unfortunately my cats also think like that...
and one of them even prefers to drink out of the bird bath.
