VMG3925-B10C Custom Config/TR-069
« on: March 15, 2021, 02:10:56 AM »

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone could help me, I've been constantly trying to get access to TR-069 settings, Originally the router was ISP locked which I've unlocked by flashing factory firmware.

I've also requested the open source firmware, compiled & flashed, Taking a look at the source I can't see anything that pops out at me that specifically I could change in the firmware to help me to get access to this.

No option in the GUI as expected.

Don't think I've missed anything on the forum as I've been actively searching and trying to find ways of getting access plus even attempting some stuff that has been posted for other model versions.

No luck

Would really appreciate it if someone could push me in the right direction.

Thanks.

The only way I have done it on the 3925-b10b variant is via the supervisor account. Do you have the supervisor account access?

Hi skyeci,

Afraid I don't, seems to be randomised on boot, I have tried to find where in the source of the firmware that process is done so that I can change it, not found anything yet.

Thanks.

Very interesting, by adding ("Level":"high") to the config under account I can now see all menu items, issue seems to be now that the admin user doesn't have access so therefore when trying to access any other page on the GUI other than the overview its all locked and just redirects to the overview page.  ??? ??? ???

Oh well, reflash the firmware and start again.

Have you had a go at getting the supervisor password following the similar method for the 3925-b10b. It's documented on kitz.

Hi Skyeci,

Yh tried pretty much everything across the forum and the firmware just looks completely different. I've tried to use some of the information to try and implement a similar method with no luck. my recent attempt which I currently have compiling is a custom fireware made from the opensource with debug flags automatically set to true by the firmware.

I'll post when its compiled.

Thanks.

Did someone - maybe our Johnson - design some code that synchs the supervisor password with the admin password ? If so then that would give some inspiration. See https://forum.kitz.co.uk/index.php/topic,21273.msg396253.html#msg396253 for a start.

Hi Weaver,

Yh, I already had a look, I'm all up for compiling my own firmware but none of the custom firmwares for root/supervisor sync on that topic actually exist anymore, all been removed unfortunately.

Appreciate it though.
Thanks.
