Build your own WiFi deauther
« on: February 26, 2021, 11:40:37 PM »

You will need an esp8266 device like a NodeMCU. These start from £5 on Amazon.
And the software from https://github.com/SpacehuhnTech/esp8266_deauther

So what is a WiFi deauther, in it's simplest terms you can connect it to a wireless network you own, and disconnect everything connected to it by sending deauthenticate requests to the access point.

This is a vulnerability from 2009 that the WiFi Alliance fixed with 802.11w but not many manufacturers have implemented.

I'm currently testing devices it works against, found a few surprises.
