I cannot see that ever improving, VMG1312-B10A, half metre dsl cable,external microfilter, straight into master socket.
All speed tests show max of 75 down and 18 up, but I'm not bothered

As you are hitting the upper limit of the product in terms of the synchronisation speed (essentially 80/20 Mbps) there's not a lot I can say.

Obviously overheads will need to be taken into account . . .

(75 / 80) x 100 = 93.8%  and  (18 / 20) x 100 = 90.0%  (to one decimal place).

I do know that some members have used DSLstats on a R-Pi, which was run headless. The data was then accessed either via ssh or telnet.

As you are using a ZyXEL VMG1312-B10A, you could install and use member johnson's firmware image with the inbuilt statistics display, as used comprehensively (and championed) by Weaver.
