It sounds like the TT hub is working under protest if it resets itself to a higher channel every night. I think the Zyxel is just being less accommodating and is flatly refusing to work on the lower channels in the congested environment. Do you not have a single device that can work in the channel 100 range as that would prove or disprove the point?
 :)

The TT hub does this, that's why I stopped using it. It's a firmware problem. You can set it to a manual channel and it will still change.

I think I'm going to have to give up with the 5GHz, and just accept single-channel operation... even with our Q and miniboxes powered off there's still next door's operating across the lower channels :(

However, the stock fw in the zyx appears more stable than the plusnet version it shipped with, and still syncs so much faster than the TT hub, so I'm still overall winning :)

Thanks again to all who've helped out on this :)

Finally got round to testing the triband 5ghz, I have one device syncing with a wireless throughput of 1170, on the last ever firmware for the vmg3925.

V5.13 / (AAVF.17)C0 is what I'm currently running.

I also have V5.13 / (AAVF.14)C0 but the last publicly available is V5.13 / (AAVF.13)C0.

I've popped 17 on there, looking ok :)  5GHz still only single-channel, but wasn't expecting it to be otherwise...if 17 is stable I'll leave it on.

WLAN Station Status
WLAN Station Status lists associated WiFi clients.
WLAN 2.4G Station Status
#   Rate (Mbps)   RSSI (dBm)   SNR   Level
1   24   -51   36   4
2   72.222   -51   36   4
3   72.222   -51   36   4
WLAN 5G Station Status
#   Rate (Mbps)   RSSI (dBm)   SNR   Level
1   300   -57   30   4
2   390   -45   42   5
3   433.333   -42   45   5
4   866.667   -52   35   4
5   390   -59   28   4
6   780   -59   28   4
7   866.667   -52   35   4

This does not make sense, I have 2.4ghz set to 802.11n-only and 5ghz set to 802.11ac-only.
Yet WiFI4 devices that support 5ghz Wireless N aka 802.11n-only are appearing as 5ghz clients.  :-\

Well, after 3 months of rock-solid performing, the UI has decided to just not work  >:(

Looks like a reset is in order (again.....), and if needs be re-flash V5.13 / (AAVF.17)C0 .... Bah!!

That 'J1' version of your firmware is an ISP special and will be why it won't let you load the standard version. The telnet commands that @meritez gave should allow you to load stock firmware.
A word of caution though, I tried this on a Post Office version and the firmware did upload but I ended up locked out (https://forum.kitz.co.uk/index.php/topic,25402.msg426223 and linked thread, also https://forum.kitz.co.uk/index.php/topic,24413 started by @quboid who had the same issue). The common ground in those threads is that the lockout happened following a factory reset, so that is best avoided if possible. I had to go the serial route to unlock it - which was actually a very interesting exercise.
Also note that there is a 5.13(AAVF13)C0 version available for the 3925-B10B which also works on the B10C you have.
 :)
The telnet trick worked for the John Lewis version of B10C. Loaded F13 then upgraded to F17 provided by Zyxel https://www.dropbox.com/s/sfz3vae33uujilf/V513AAVF17C0.bin?dl=1

@Nukai, welcome to Kitz forum, my vmg3925 that were John Lewis branded were easy to unlock etc.

The post office branded ones are very different, from the custom postoffice branded housing, to the 1234 password on the back of the router, as soon as you properly debrand there is no visual clue of what the admin or supervisor passwords are.

It's probably in the config.json file via FTP, may look at later.

thanks both...

I'm on V5.13(AAVF.13)J1 fw..I can't see what version is on that one linked to..

I'll have to have more of a delve into the UI and see what's there....

John Lewis, from what I worked out of the one I used yesterday.
