Webcam Problem.
« on: October 30, 2020, 02:29:21 PM »

Hi All,
During lockdown the walking group I'm a member of has been using Zoom to keep in touch, on the first two meetings my webcam worked fine, the next meeting all I got was a black screen, I checked the webcam on line and got this message which is fine but I have no idea how to correct it, and it is not used by anyone else, can you help please?

I have been using a tablet for meetings but sa we also hold a weekly quiz often with pictures I struggle also sound is not good, any help would be appreciated.
Regards,

PeterB

Apparently, your webcam is being used or blocked by another application. To start your webcam, you must temporarily close that application.

For more information visit the following pages:

You do not say whether the light next the camera is on.

Settings ought to tell you which application has control of the camera. I found that to be unreliable.

Putting the computer to sleep and then restarting generally clears it. If that fails a reboot should work.
