Ihave a problem with my iPad: I receive messages from my wife in the iMessage app, but unless I have it in foreground at the time, I don’t know they have arrived. I see no notifications; if the app is in background then I don’t know any message has arrived until I go in and look. I’ve checked all the settings I can think of concerning notifications already, but there could be something somewhere that I don’t know about. I’ve also rebooted the o/s.
Any clues ?
My wife has an iPad Prov v3 also on iPadOS 14.x and doesn’t have this problem.
