When people say Talk Talk they generally mean the residential ISP.

In this context were talking about Talk Talk Business where they can provide backhaul links into the exchanges for cheaper than Openreach charge.  These are provided to many ISPs such as Zen, Uno, etc.

Confusingly there is also a Talk Talk Business ISP service.

We should really differentiate between TTB as an ISP service and their wholesale operation, which we should refer to as Talk Talk Business wholesale or TTBw (see here)

Agreed, TTB Resellers are not always TTB Wholesale.

Huh? They are.
Anyone who is reselling TTB is doing so over TTB Wholesale.

The discussion was around the differences between Talktalk, Talktalk Business (the ISP) and Talktalk Business the backhaul wholesaler.

A reseller simply resells another ISP's service.

Er no, TTB offers two products to Resellers, Managed and Wholesale.
Managed is TTB in all but name, using TTB IP Addresses etc.
Wholesale connects into the Reseller's own interconnect, using the Reseller's own ip addresses etc for their customers.

Two examples:
TTB Managed = Post Office or Shell
TTB Wholesale = Andrews & Arnold or Zen

Both backhaul over TTB at the local Telephone exchange, but are very different at the other end.
so to add to your list:
The discussion was around the differences between Talktalk, Talktalk Business (the ISP), TTB Reseller Managed Service and Talktalk Business the Wholesaler.

All backhaul over TTB

Meritez explained it well. Andrews and Arnold use both BTW and TTBW for connectivity from the end user into AA’s own network from whence traffic meets the internet, with AA’s addresses. A user can choose between TTBW and BTW in some cases and in the past AA has suggested to customers who have two or more bonded lines, that they might like to consider having a mix of lines of both types, BTW and TTBW, for enhanced reliability.

Very pedantic.

Those are specific product names.
They are both provided by Talktalk Business Wholesale.

You agreed to a post distinguishing between Talktalk the ISP and Talktalk backhaul.

Nobody mentioned individual offerings by Talktalks wholesale division or resellers.

Even though the thread is named "ISP's who resell TTB" the thread was about Talktalk backhaul, not resellers.

TTB resellers are always over Talktalk backhaul (provided by Talktalk Business Wholesale).

Would you correct me saying an ISP uses BT Wholesale because they use the WMBC rather than WBC?
It's just 2 different products from the same wholesaler, just as your correction above.

TTB is backhaul managed by talktalk business which isp's can choose to lease/resell.  The technical difference vs talktalk retail, is it is just backhaul and basic connectivity management between exchanges and isp's network, it doesnt include things like the filtering provided to talktalk retail customers or talktalk retail's peering, ip space will probably be from the reseller isp's own ip block's.
