Samsung TV & Samsung Tablet.
« on: October 19, 2020, 02:18:11 PM »

Both my wife and I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A and whenever one of us opens the tablet and the TV is on we get this attached message on screen.
This disappears after a short while but pops up every so often.

Can someone explain what's going on and can we make use of it it, if not how do we stop it please?

Regards,
Peter B

Only guessing here, but if you click allow you could probably use screen mirroring - so your tablet screen appears on the TV, clicking deny may well block it coming up again.

Galaxy tablets (and phones) by default will always try to connect to any Samsung TV within range using Miracasting, a type of screen mirroring. It's a convenient way of displaying anything on the tablet on the larger screen of a Samsung TV. Somewhere in Settings, Networks or something similar there should be a Screen Mirroring option. This is on by default, hopefully you can turn it off.
