G fast 160/30
« on: October 16, 2020, 01:50:41 PM »

I have placed an order for brand new line with G.fast 160/30 with my new ISP. Engineer is booked in. Will start off 160/30 to see how it goes. Installation date: 30th October  :) Openreach will bring G.fast socket with Openreach G.fast modem.

Will post back soon with new TBB BQM, TBB Speedtest, G.fast stats etc.

My daughter can have her own FTTC with PN now. She will pay the bill. For my own health reason, best to get on with G.fast and switch off my brain. lol  ;D

Is your daughter living with you?  If so I'm confused as you've said before that you don't NEED high bandwidth yet now you will have G.fast, why is your daughter wasting her money on this?

Ah so she is using your referral credit?

Still seems kinda nuts you getting G.fast considering your past comments though.

I will cancel it tomorrow because I feel £140 fee is rip off by BT. Also it a 24 months contract for G.fast £39.99.

Not gonna bother now. Is there any isp offer free phone line install for G.fast?

I thought BT installed new lines for free when you ordered fibre. They certainly used to anyway.

Did you order it online? But yes, BT seem to do 24 month contracts now with an annual price rise built in to new contracts.

Make sure you really want it though - I think this must be the 3/4 time that you have ordered it and then decided it was unecessary..
