I'm certainly no expert, but my guess is that the charging interface in the phone may be the limitation, not the charger. I use a modern phone with a UPS-C interface, and car charging has no problem keeping up with the satnav app (I use Sygic).
Are you talking about charging you phone while in your car ?. you need to change your Title .Our second car does not have built in Sat-Nav so I have a Tom-Tom.The cars USB socket is Not powerful enough to charge it so I have a USB charger that plugs into the 12 volt socket .
