Winston - aka Winnie the Pooh
« on: September 29, 2020, 10:47:07 PM »

Meet Winston, we are baby-sitting him probably overnight, as his dad has been away. Winston’s dad is driving back home from Perth but it’s getting late, it’s dark and there are deer all over the road at Dail Chuinnidh (anglicised as Dalwhinnie) so it’s dangerous and slow going, and it will be really late when he gets back to the Island. Somhairle, Pangur Bàn and Thomas  don’t know Winston well (or maybe not at all, can’t remember now) but Beileag and Buidheag, the other cats, know him well. The seem to be getting on ok thus far with an unfamiliar small dog anyway, fingers crossed. I have probably jinxed it now.

Will see if he will fit into a large cat bed overnight, otherwise it will be Ciarán’s large dog bed.

Nope ,Winston is on our bed, right next to two Orientals who are in my lap. And no howling or hissing at all. Winston was swiped by one of the boys earlier, can’t remember which one, just to place him at the bottom of the pecking order. Unfortunately Winston has itchy ears, poor thing, keeps flapping them; he was all good earlier so hopefully it will pass.

From the picture I see a mass of off-white fur and can deduce the head-end by the just visible pink tongue.  :)

Janet took that while Winston was sitting on her knee, hence the angle of the shot.

Did the night pass peacefully, without any skirmishes or battles?

Winston spent the night on the bed by Janets’ feet, as good as gold, and the kittens slept in my lap as they usually do with never even a cross word with Winston. It’s couldn’t have gone better.
