Openreach MK2 vs VTE-2015?
« on: October 27, 2020, 01:16:48 AM »

I am currently using a MK2 faceplate and I am wondering if there would be any benefit at all to swapping out to this

https://www.run-it-direct.co.uk/adsl-vdsl-faceplates/vte2015filteredfaceplate/

Also I have never used anything other than Openreach's own filtered faceplates so how would I know if its compatible?

If you do not have any extensions or have disconnected the bell wire, I'd expect zero improvement.

Okay good to know, I believe I don't have the bell/ring wire attached. I could check but I haven't had any issues so its likely I don't have it attached.

It doesn't necessarily cause obvious issues but can cause your line to sync lower than it otherwise could.
