Also does anyone know where I can check when FTTP will be installed in my area?

I don't think the FTTP rollout has much to do 5G competition.

It's more to do with with political pressure, reduced FTTP rollout costs and more infrastructure competition.

Openreach have only announced their rollout plans for the next two years or so at https://www.openreach.com/transparency

I'm interested in knowing this as well. How are the rollout locations chosen?

We are usually the last to get anything new so I don't expect 5G here until the 6G rollout has started in the rest of the country
