There are loads of VOIP providers reselling for betamax where they offer xxx free calls per month just for adding credit to your account.


Which is the best betamax VOIP provider at the moment for free UK/USA calls?

I've used http://www.freevoipdeal.com for years mostly for UK calls.

For 12.5 euros (10 euros + charges and vat) I get 120 days of free calls to uk land lines and most mobile providers, after the free 120 days calls are charged at 0.012 euros per minute (land lines and mobiles) this is taken from my initial payment of 10 euros.
AFAIK calls to the US are the same price with freevoipdeal.

Just remembered one problem I've had with the three Betamax resellers I've used:

If you're on a IP address which is/was registered abroad then the call can fail.
This proved to be an occasional  problem using Plusnet with one of their IP blocks, getting a static IP fixed the issue.
