I have been on fibre for many years, for the past 5 years with BT with a rock steady connection, however, this month it has been all over the place. Sometimes close to dial up, which causes issues with my work and endless Teams meetings
. I think BT have had some issues and a lot of maintenance appears to have been done on my area code according to the Zen BT status updates.
BT confirm there are no issues with my line and as I don't have a home hub can't test anything else.
Anyway my achieved download speeds have reduced as well as speeds now fluctuating rather than being fixed. I use a Vigor 130 modem and an Asus router for the wifi capabilities.
I was wondering whether these are permanent changes, could anyone advise?
I don't really know what I'm looking at beyond the fact that my sync is higher than my product (80/20) so I would have thought I would get close to that.

A test using BT wholespeed test shows that my IP profile is lower than the sync rates above at 70.41 and then my speed tests on ethernet are then lower still at 67. My cabinet results say I should get 79-80.
