I've been having issues with my broadband for weeks now. I live in a new estate with new wiring, but (according to an Openreach engineer), the quality of the cabling from the estate to the cabinet is pretty bad.
Last year I was getting about 60 Mbps downstream and 9.5 Mbps upstream.
However, things have got bad pretty quickly - with my Plusnet Hub I am getting about 43 Mbps and 3.8 Mbps (upstream has dropped 2 Mbps in the last week alone).
Plusnet have been pretty sh*t at dealing with it. They sent a copper engineer out as they detected a fault at the exchange, and when that didn't improve the speeds, sent another copper engineer out! Trying to get them to send a broadband-trained engineer out at the moment.
However, in the meantime I managed to obtain a EchoLife HG612 and so have been running with that today, and the stats are even worse with that. Currently getting 24 Mbps down and 4 Mbps up!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated. My stats from the EchoLife are attached. My line length is about 760m.
