DLM applied a 3db SNRM this morning. I didn’t know they used 3db on ADSL2. Sync increased by 2mb with associated thruput.

I use a 3dB downstream target SNRM and 6dB upstream. That’s one of the choices I have in the options for an ADSL2 BT 21CN line. I sometimes choose 9dB upstream target SNRM for one of my lines because it has problems with upstream SNRM jumping up and down in the day.

About four years ago, my ADSL2+ connection went from DS 6dB target to 3dB, and interleaving was taken off.
I put it down to my E-side pair getting less interference as people switched to FTTC.

Thanks for useful responses. I guess something happened on the cable run, my other pair has VDSL2 and the ES has also reduced significantly on that, so likely between me and the PCP.
