Here is the link to the Street View image of the PCP.

Unfortunately the Google Photographic car has never revisited the area since the initial images were captured, so the ECI equipped cabinet does not appear here.

Edit: It seems I am slow at the keyboard tonight . . .  ::)

I wonder if they have replaced the insides of the eci cabinet? I remember reading something last year that they were replacing some of them.

I also remember there being capacity issues last year because I was having speed issues with my Internet and my isp told me openreach were supposed to be upgrading the line cards to deal with the issue.

Speed issues with your internet have nothing to do with the number of ports.
Adding more ports adds more users which would exacerbate any speed issues from a cabinet.

That's a fob off by the ISP. There is ample capacity between cabinets and the exchange.

The new Huawei cabinet also increased the number of ports available.

I wonder if they have replaced the insides of the eci cabinet? I remember reading something last year that they were replacing some of them.

That's possible and why I'm intrigued at the new angled top on the ECI cabinet.

The last word from OpenReach was they were going to replace a small amount of ECI cabinets with Huawei (within the same cabinet housing) but this was a limited trial and they had no plans to do this on a large scale.

Do you still have the HG612? you could run a vendor check to see if you do.

I can't remember the exact wording the isp used it was after a long back and forth of me complaining about my slow throughput and high ping times. They said they got the status of the exchanges through from openreach regularly and they were colour coded. I think green Amber and red.

Think they said mine was amber at the time and it could take a few months for them to work on it as they do reds first as a priority.

I guess they could have been just trying to fob me off  :D

Anyway yes I do still have the hg612 here somewhere but I didn't think it would work because it doesn't support sky's protocol?

You can obtain sync, check the vendor, then switch back.

The HG612 is just a modem. It works with Sky as a modem, it needs a compatible router to get an IP from Sky though.

Ok just had a go with hg612 and it confirmed my suspicions that i am interleaved again.

Also looks like i'm still on a ECI line.
