facebook notifications
« on: July 02, 2020, 06:12:14 PM »

In my wifes facebook account she has suddenly starting receiving notifications from people she doesn't know who have looked at post she has looked at.  I have tried to change notifications settings to restrict these to just family and friends, but cannot find any way to do this.

Also on post that notifications are being received about, the notifications settings is set to off.

Tried a 'google' search but can find no information.

Help, does any one know how to restrict notifications?

There are a whole load of notification options in settings, have you looked at all these?

If she has replied to a post (or sometomes even liked a post) by default she will get notification when someone else replies to that post.
I don't think there is an overall setting to turn this off this type of notification other than on the post which she replied to.

From the actual notification >
 > Go to the post which the notification is for
 > At top right of this post there are 3 dots ...   Click these to get post options
 > Select "Turn off notifications for this post".
