But from the vantage point in my garden, the perch is only a few degrees away from focussing on a neighbour’s upstairs window.   A tripod mounted camera could easily give the wrong impression.   ::)

I suppose I could ask but it would still be hard to justify, kites are a pretty common sight, these days. 

Here's a couple more mildly amusing bird photos for which I did use a tripod aimed directly at a neighbour's window, left in place for hours with hundreds of shots taken.   I didn't think they'd mind.   A bit grainy as I used a high ASA to allow the fast exposure, and shame the focus is not quite 100% but you can't have everything!

Who needs wings, when you have mastered levitation?
