btw checker clean estimate lower than bridged tap
« on: June 22, 2020, 02:25:18 AM »

Ok so I noticed a screenshot from alex which shows a max observed speed, so I loaded up my phone number on the checker, and two things got my attention.

My estimated speed keeps going down, no surprise its dropped further, but now my clean estimate is lower than my impacted estimate.

My max observed speed only has one value which is from the 18 june, my full 80mbit sync has never been registered, only my capped line speed, so is this only a recent addition to the checker?

I may uncap my sync speed for a while to get it registered, as I can imagine a speed related fault wouldnt go very far if the max observed speed is low.

I suspect the previous 80mbit sync isnt on there as it may get wiped on a DLM reset?

I really can't parse what you have shown as the subject line of this topic --

I think the "max observed speed" is actually just the current speed, not an all time historical highest value.

The max observed speed seems to indeed actually be "LAST observed speed".  Mine is back to 73.99 despite synching at 79.99 the day before.

Anyone know what Last Test date is?  Automated line test?

It's the last day you or someone else typed your number into the checker website.

It definitely isn't.

I get results showing tests have been carried out on numbers that have never been entered in to the checker.

Fair enough, are you sure nobody else has? ;) I'll update my answer and say that for my lines the last test date always reflects the date when I've last checked. Perhaps it auto-refreshes at some fixed interval outside of user requests.

Are you talking about the date for observed speeds or the last test?

With regard to observed speeds both my VDSL ones and gfast ones are from last year and are the dates when the services were first activated on the line (both sync at max).

the date for observed speeds.

the one and only number check I did was on the 22 june
observed speed was on 18 june
I did a GEA service check on 17 june
