Youtube is doing it for specific accounts yeah, I dont get this fascination with making websites for mobile devices.  Most of the large services have a dedicated mobile app, if you on a phone use the app, if you on a pc use the website, and as such that website should be optimised for PC viewing.  In the early days of web dev for mobile, they used to do user agent checking and serve the page for that device, but once mobile usage exploded, they decided to ditch the system, and many vendors just started redesigning their websites with lots of empty white space, simplification etc.

It looks like Facebook have deliberately made a change to the new design which breaks FBP.

I'm honestly surprised Facebook haven't been MORE aggressive changing things to break FBP as it does disable a chunk of their revenue stream.

On the other hand, Facebook is practically unusable without FBP IMO.  I find it particularly counter-intuitive how old posts with new comments move to the top and sometimes things are completely out of order with their "most relevant" sorting BS.

I could not agree more Alex, so far my Facebook has not suffered from the FBP issue reported today.

Fixed version of FBP is on it's way out - Firefox version already available through automatic updates

Since when has Firefox version had automatic updates?  I always have to manually install the latest version.

I have noticed the traffic on facebook market place completely dwarfs ebay.

I put an old pc part on ebay for 2 weeks it has just 15 views.
Then put it on facebook without using the paid promotion option, and it had 162 views in 2 days.

However there is some real chancers on there which my sister warned me about, I have had ridiculous offers which would barely cover postage.

Since forever!

I meant specifically for FBP.  I've always had auto-updates enabled on Firefox and its never once updated FBP, I've always had to manually re-install it.

Their own wording whenever there is an update is "go here to update" which made me think this was normal.

Also I turned off the email notifications for suggested friend spam, and it seems this includes notifications for the marketplace, so I guess its a kind of accept our spam, or get nothing sort of deal.

I seem to have an iisue now with the layout on my tablet. The centre column showing on my news feed has this habit of contracting and then expanding intermittently no matter whether or not I manually expand the page. Does not happen on my desktop. I use Firefox btw on Android.

Have you got "Update Add-ons Automatically" enabled as well as Firefox updates in the general options?
