What speeds do you have now?

I personally would not be buying or moving to a house that poorly served by broadband given the need to work from home, and if you have a family all trying to do things on that connection there could be conflict  ::)

Other options though might be to go with a 4G modem, have you checked mobile phone coverage?

Phil

Up until 3 months ago I was working on ADSL at around 6, never had any issues. Video calling and uploading large files is not something I do. I then switched to fibre at 35, and I dont notice any difference to when I was on ADSL. Even on 6 I watched the odd film on Netflix with no issues.

No family at home (may explain why I have no issues lol), just me and the wife.

Slight update. I have contacted two people who live in the village, one gets 16 download on fibre, the other is on ADSL at 9.
