While walking on the moor in Heasta, above and to the south of my house roughly, a neighbour of ours found this enormous feather assumed to be from one of the eagles that frequent the area. They probably live off bunnies, of which there are now hundreds especially lower down in the village; even the combined might of Thomas, Buidheag and their allies can not eat them fast enough.

My neighbour got the tape measure out; it’s 22" long.

We did see a few eagles up north of the island the other year.
I think some of our local 'Raptors' are eating our local Bunnies up, had a Buzzard in the garden the other day.
