Must admit, pretty much every time I hear reference to 5G, I tend to dismiss the story as ‘manipulation’.
Sometimes I’m being manipulated by the conspiracy theorists to believe that 5G is dangerous. It’s not dangerous, of course.
Other times I’m being manipulated by state sponsors and Telecom providers to believe that 5G will make the world a wonderful place. It won’t of course for rural dwellers, who will most likely be left behind and hung out to dry, while the cities race ahead with all the benefits.
Re the Chinese AI story. I don’t look at Chinese news or SM, but willing to bet that on any day of the week it will be full of similar stories about sinister plans by Western governments. These days, I’m really not sure which ‘side’ I distrust the most.
