Sudden interleaving
« on: April 13, 2020, 06:30:09 PM »

I've pretty much had zero issues with my line for a good few years now, but last night my modem resynced and I seem to now have interleaving.

Modem up time is 51 days currently so nothing went down or changed my end. It isn't really effecting my speeds though my downstream rate is down just a notch as that usually syncs at 79999, its just doubled my ping is all.

Is there anything specifically I should be keeping an eye on when monitoring my line?

I've taken a look at the data you posted and can see nothing particularly abnormal. Connected via ECI electronics, unfortunately.

Connected via ECI electronics, unfortunately.

Aye, sadly no alternatives, but it has been rock solid for a while.

Only thing I can think that may have upset things is the thunderstorm we had yesterday, still, this is the first time I've had any issues at all in a few years.

Could forcing a resync (aka unplug the modem and twiddle my thumbs for half an hour) help at all or am I better off leaving it alone?

Would you have really noticed that "something had happened", by just using the service, if you hadn't looked at the statistics?

My advice is to leave it alone and us it, "as is".

Maybe 11k of ES is a problem, unless these was collected in longer period if time?

Fair point. I think I'm just so hell bent on getting the lowest ping in games, that any change to my ping triggers me a little.

Maybe 11k of ES is a problem, unless these was collected in longer period if time?

I have no idea to be honest, I only booted up DSLStats to confirm interleaving being the cause of my ping change.

813 Err Secs is probably what triggered it.   For some reason the DLM appears to have reduced the MBTE on the ECI's to a very low figure.
There's been a few of us on this forum who have had the DLM take action for a relatively low amount of Err Secs.    :(

That's fair, potentially was the thunderstorm that caused a butt load of errors on my line then?

The fact I'm not seeing any errors on my line now is just interleaving doing its job I guess?
