iPadOS 13.4 any good?
« on: March 27, 2020, 02:50:47 AM »

I mistakenly downloaded iOS 13.4 on my iPad but I haven’t installed it and I’m hoping it will do nothing until I give it my say-so. I’ve heard a few vague rumblings of introduced bugs in this release a few of which sound serious: battery life, wifi, 4G, and possibly even random reboots. I’ve no idea how true these reports are nor how bad their occurrence rate is.

Anyone got any ideas about the danger of adopting this?

Can you cancel or block a new update installation?

I perhaps should wait til the next minor dot-1 release.

Can you cancel or block a new update installation?

Open the Settings app on your iPad and go to “General”.
Select “Storage & iCloud Usage”.
Go to “Manage Storage”.
Locate the iOS software update and tap on it.
Tap “Delete Update” and confirm that you want to delete the update

No problems here at all with this release.

Yes I doubt you will have any issues. I’ve found a couple of improvements in the native mail app and messages. Tony

A different question: in iOS, if you have downloaded but have not installed an update and a new one becomes available, what happens then? I can guess obviously but I wonder if it throws the first patch away, or applies it and then only needs a tiny patch for say a second dot-1 minor update for example, which is small.
