But I'm sure online gaming uses upstream rather than downstream for sending data. I could be wrong but  :shrug2:

Everything uses upstream for sending, downstream for receiving, there's always a two way conversation going on, just more data will pass in one direction compared to the other depending on what you are doing.

DLM is working quickly now but for some reason G. INP got put on the upstream must of seen all those errors also increased upstream snr margin too speed is still good though. Shouldn't the vmg1312-b10a have a noise filter in it to help with it?

That is a LOT of upstream CRCs and errored seconds, not surprised upstream G.INP was enabled.

Do you know what is causing it John?

No clue.

It starting around 6pm might suggest something on a timer? I have regular 6pm disturbances, but none that last longer than a few 30 second time periods of capturing stats.

Is it a regular occurrence?

Yeah every night i'm noticing it. I have these shielded twisted pair adsl cables which should stop noise and interference.  https://www.tandyonline.com/electronics/telecoms-dsl/high-speed-rj11-dsl-cable-0-5m.html

Thats a nice cable, I certainly have a short twisted cable myself. But there is only so much you can do once the drop cable comes into your house. It could be an AC system or lights coming on anywhere near your house thats generating the noise. Its a nightmare trying to find this type of interference. Assuming you are not near a business that could make this happen, are you aware of neighbours returning (or leaving) at the times it starts?

I'm more close to a railway it starts to ease down at around 11pm but during the day that's when it starts. But since this Corona virus started it's got worse since everyone is self isolating now and everyone working from home.
