Had something really strange happen this morning.

The doorbell rang about 5 times but there was no-one there & the TV turned itself off.
A message came up on my browser saying no internet connection. Yet my modem remained in sync and I had no loss of PPP session. 

No I'm not imagining all this because there was a massive spike of ~3k CRCs & FEC recordings went off the recording scale. According to my line-stats this lasted from 12:48 until 12:51. Presumably some massive burst of RFI/EMI somewhere, yet my SNR recording didn't catch anything, so must have been bursty or pulse like as total of 88 Err Secs over those 3-4 mins.

My father used to live in the "taxi drivers' quarter" of town, and regularly had false rings on the doorbell. It was a multi-tune type, and the false rings were always a different tune to that which was set.
Can't comment on the internet as he didn't have it.

Mine is multi-tune but it rang its usual chime.  I was really puzzled I even went and stood on the step to look up and down the road but it was deserted.   
In the past I've had phantom rings but that turned out to be a neighbour who had the same doorbell and its been ok since we both re-tuned so they didn't conflict.

Hoping DLM doesn't decide to act as it's being more aggressive than usual lately on the ECI cabs.    It was doing quite nicely with G.INP and even the daily dose of SHINE produces far less CRCs and Err secs.   You can see it is still there though (the small red blip at ~9ish both days on the E/S graph and only ~12 CRCs now.
