ISP AA gets closer to Google with direct interconnect
« on: March 14, 2020, 04:51:37 AM »

The ISP Andrews & Arnold said on Twitter on Friday:

“We bought up peering sessions with Google over a direct interconnect earlier today - no impact to customers, means we're a little closer to Google now. Thought you may like to know!”

“In practice, just fewer switches between us - before the traffic would have been over LINX and LONAP peering infrastructure - now we have a cable between us.”

Yep. Customers won't notice any change really but it alleviates some load from the public peering points.

Hopefully they aren't using Firebricks anywhere in the equation  ;)
