Visit from Betty
« on: February 01, 2020, 03:04:48 PM »

I’m lying here in my bed and I hear pecking. It is another visit from Betty, who is on the loose again and has come upstairs. I talk to her and she talks back. She’s perhaps doing a good job hoovering up, but the question is does she create and leave more mess than she removes ? I talk to her and she talks back, a lot.

Janet has now arrived to relocate Betty. Picked Betty up. She’s as good as gold and no mess left behind her.

I suspect that all other members of the menagerie have observed her beak in action and so have collectively decided to leave her alone.  :)

The cats just ignore the hens now, Janet found four in the house! Apparently it wasn’t just Betty who came in but she was the only one brave enough and experienced enough to come up to see me.

The cats just ignite the hens now, . . .

I have a vision of Tom putting a fire-lighter under each hen, closely followed by Pangur Bán with a lit match.

Clearly, auto-correct has turned it into the wrong word. However "ignore" doesn't conjure up such an interesting image.

Damn you autocorrect.  ;D My hands are really hurting this afternoon so perhaps I should try my luck with voice once again instead.

I wonder if the presence of cat food perhaps is enticing to the hens too. But it’s in their nature to be exploring constantly.
