Sleep
« on: January 29, 2020, 12:57:03 AM »

I have suffered sleepless since last xmas. Only average 2 hours sleep every days and mostly awake for 22 hours. Is this normal for my own health reason?

No, that's abnormal. Do as ren has suggested . . . see your GP.

If you have been sleeping so little I am astonished you are able to write this.

You should seek urgent medical assistance.

I  am not sure that we are aware of the sleep, we've actually had. Some nights I've thought I'd been awake for hours, only to see that those hours were minutes, or those sleeping minutes we're in reality hours. For me the solution can be either to turn on the light, or go downstairs to read for a while, then go back to bed; not always though.

Still, Max, see the GP!

Its why I got a smartwatch, I discovered as long as I had 30 minutes or more of deep sleep, I'm not too bad.

Unfortunately I also discovered I have an allergic reaction to wearing a watch for long periods.

With less than 7-8 hours sleep, I usually feel incredibly ill.

Mrs Thatcher claimed to need in a few hours sleep, iirc?

Approximately four hours, I believe.

Mrs Thatcher claimed to need only a few hours sleep, iirc?

Yet she was such a rational woman.

She was very, very rational. May not have agreed with her rationale but it was clear for all to see.

From another thread:
You are welcome. But please do not obsess over those values.
Well, max, there's good advice to you. Lie back in that bed, and dream of something other than FTTC, G Fast and FTTP! ;D

Not sure I'd agree that waging war on the working classes was rational.  But then I'm not sure I believe the 4 hour sleep story either.
