Hello from Derbyshire!
« on: October 18, 2020, 09:28:36 PM »

Hello everyone. My first post! This always feels like a job interview... here goes!

My name's Chris. I live in the Peaks with my lovely other half and a massive dog.

Like everyone else, this has been the year I've been working from home. I'm taking over the family business, and I want to upgrade all of our IT in our traditional quiet period before Christmas.

I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hello everyone. My first post!

Welcome to the Kitz forum.  :)

One doesn't have to be eccentric to become a member . . . but it does help!

A warm welcome from another Derbyshire lad, my mum came from near Matlock later on moved to Marston Montgomery and then married my father and moved five miles west into Staffordshire. All farming folk, I grew up on a farm near Alton Towers. I went down to London because my beloved went to the Royal Academy of Music to study singing (performer’s course) and so I got myself a job as a programmer in the West End so we could be together. In 1998 we moved from London to Skye and have been there ever since. Five cats, zero dogs as my three dogs have all recently died in turn, of old age, lots of hens and two donkeys.

Eccentric? Moi? I think I will get on here....

I am from London. Finest city in the world. You can keep it! I was living on a boat, put into Derby supposedly for a winter and never left!

Skye sounds fabulous, but not the dogs. My dog is getting on a bit. Am deciding whether or not we want another before he's too old - Max would be a great role model to a puppy.

Thanks for the welcome!

If you want to look me up on a map, look up post code IV49 9BN but I’m rather further north than that exact point, on the northern edge of the village of Heasta. See https://forum.kitz.co.uk/index.php/topic,25259.0.html
