So I'm using the Zyxel VMG1312-B10A and the connection has been stable for a constant 14 days but DLM is not increasing my speed does it look like i'm banded?

Unless I'm overlooking something, it looks to me like you are connected as fast as your line can handle.

That line is not banded or at least not been held back by banding, what makes you think it is?

SNRM is close to 6db and the sync speed is not at a banding point.

So I guess he is wondering when his 5/4/3dB profile may arrive...

Basically when i was on talktalk i was getting the full 80,000kbps sync now i went back to BT i'm getting a lower sync speed with just 61mb download where as before i was getting 75mb download.

My line can handle faster than that i think what happened was when i spoke to BT they told me to keep the BT Smart Hub plugged in until the switch over and i did that DLM must of thought my line was having issues and dropped my speed over to the new provider.

When you migrated from stalk talk (GEA) to BT Retail  (WMBC) wholesale based DLM would be RESET, and you also will see a lower throughput because of their BRAS IP profile that will limit the downstream throughput by around 1mbps if syncing at the max product speed of 80mbps, BT may well also use a different DLM stability policy to talk talk , this can also affect how dlm works

Ouch wish i knew about this before oh well yolo,  i'll wait to see what happens if nothing changes and BT put there price up i'll go with Zen and see what there DLM is like.

It's DLM has 3 available stability profiles /policies that the ISP can choose from most use the Speed option, which basically has a bigger error rate threshold than the other 2, and maybe allows more retrains too, hence less intervention , not sure about the lower target SNR's but those will be error related too  i would assume, give it a bit longer dlm may start to make changes  lowering the target snr, but it may also increase G.inp protection and apply to Retransmit high which has a negative effect on throughput because the ip profile being set at 91-92% of the sync rate  instead of the 96.4% it should be  with Retransmission low applied, wich you currently have applied,

Then you need to wait for this again, moving ISP has "probably" caused a DLM reset.

Thanks for that all sounds clear now. So basically it's G.inp on the download which puts the breaks on the speed it's strange they would add G.inp to the download but completely remove it from the upstream

Yeah i'll have to do that have no plan in touching it when i had the HG612 3B on it would be slower in throughput than the Zyxel.
