As B*Cat points out, it sounds like it's probably just a CP (Carrier Pole) ??

However, if it is, it shouldn't carry the same markings as the DP for the obvious confusing reasons. If there is just the one additional CP route, then the subsequent CP's will be marked 1,2,3 etc etc .... depending on how many CP's make up the route.

If there are two or more different CP's routes, (usually in rural circumstances, feeding multiple farms etc), then the CP's will be marked 1a, 2a, 3a etc etc for one of the routes, then 1b, 2b, 3b etc etc .................. and so on and so forth.

Could the second pole be just a "carrier pole" for span(s) from the first?  :-\

Could well be, difficult to tell from streetview if the cable goes to the other pole or the house next to it.

@BS cant see any physical marking on the pole but CP confirms an address that's connected to that pole shows the same DP number as the other pole.

Got your PM but thought it best to reply here also for B*Cats information, seeing as he's been offering up sound advice.

The DP is 452 and the pole in the cul-de-sac is a CP. HTH.

Thanks BS, just wasn't comfortable posting address details publicly.

Thanks again both of you, much appreciated.

Thank you for solving that mystery . . . and for letting me know.  :)
