It's only 1024 x 768 resolution, so it wouldn't be as good as a normal LCD monitor for PC use, but certainly usable and inexpensive.

??

I have several 19" LCD monitors, all of which have the resolution set at 1024 x 768.
Although I've tried using a lager resolution  I find this setting quite adequate.

It's a matter of personal preference of course (depending on one's eyesight) but 1280 x 1024 is the native resolution of 17" and 19" conventional format LCD monitors. I imagine that most younger people will prefer a higher resolution.

I was thinking of it as a TV rather than a desk top monitor, but if you are after a new monitor this might fit the bill.
