Freezing
« on: November 11, 2019, 11:17:30 AM »

It is freezing overnight here now, hopefully killing off the deer ticks which have been driving Thomas mad as he is allergic to them and they keep going for his neck. He has had to wear a collar recently, which has proved extremely effective, but he’s still left with itch and inflammation.

A friend in west wales, Ceredigion iirc, sent a photo showing lots of snow so it’s clearly far warmer up here in the Gulf Stream. Janet did see snow falling on the mainland at sea level a couple of days ago.

My colleagues used to always think I was mad going out to the local pub at lunchtime in winter with just a t-shirt on. But mind you, some of them were from South Africa. I feel the cold now though, but I need it to keep the pain under control.

Bird bath was frozen all day. Car read +2C in the sunshine today, and 0C on the high moor.
