Quick FTTC DLM / Stats question
« on: November 07, 2019, 04:46:29 PM »

Hi Kitizens,

Quick question RE: DLM on FTTC
My connection has been up and stable for 100 days now.  However the line has constantly had interleaving applied for the entire length of that time, I was expecting DLM to intervene at some point and switch it to fastpath? I can only guess that something is stopping it from doing so, such as error rates etc?
For info I'm on an ECI cab if that affects things in any way (I already know G.INP will never be available via ECI, although there was a BT trial of it, and suggestion of ECI cabs being replaced with Huawei ones, any updated news on that?)

RSCorr/RS (%):             13.5591      3.3755 is the problem!

... a different modem/router may suit your line better, or see if there are any firmware updates for your current modem/router.

Surely that's not a lot over 100 days though? Average of 0.13 corrected errors a day?

I'm using a HG612 as the modem as I wanted something cheap to keep an eye on stats with monitoring (Zen supplied me with a Fritz!Box which isn't good in that respect). Not really worth me getting another modem/router as hoping to go over to CityFibre/Vodafone FTTP once my minimum contract period with Zen comes to an end.

385272032 corrected errors over 49 days.

The ES numbers are too high. Some lines are always interleaved unfortunately.

Link has been up for 100 days not 49. Isn't the stuck at 49 days thing a bug in the stats on some Broadcom chipsets?

Would the ES still be too high over that time period?

I quoted the "since link time" figure since that's reliable. It's 49 days since sync was established.

Total time shows as 1 day and is a known bug.
