I am using the Zytel VMG1312-B10A so Vectoring should be supported, so my question is does DLM run the line with Vectoring off to get the stats before it places Vectoring on or have i setup the PTM settings wrong as i have on the Zytel disabled everything to do with ADSL and just left the VDSL options on.

If someone could point me on the right path as FTTC is new to me so i am on another learning curve.

. . . I now have a working FTTC line now i have noticed that Vectoring is currently set at 5 (VECT_UNCONFIGURED)

That is showing the configuration of the Huawei DSLAM.

That is correct but as "it takes two tango" the DSLAM also needs to be so configured. So you have done nothing wrong.

Thanks for the speedy reply.

So basically DLM will decided weather or not if it's needed then will apply it.

Is there anything I should look out for on a FTTC connection in terms of what issues can arise.

Now time to tune my SQM settings a bit more.

Vectoring is only used in very rare cases, so it's unlikely you will ever get it applied.
