Starling Bank

Is there some big cock-up at Starling Bank ? Card payments being declined for no reason apparently. I had problem with a paypal transaction the other day - my wife uses the Starling internet bank. Does anyone know anything about it?

Hmm . . . I'm not absolutely certain but I think Adrian Kennard may have had experience of that banking entity.  :-\

It’s his fault. He gave me a tip about it and I told Janet about it. So I hold him responsible now.

On Twitter someone was grumbling that they had to wash dishes after they could not lay for a meal with their credit card. I paid for some domain name renewals via PayPal and then PayPal later got an error from Starling Bank.

Starling and many other Fintech's (Curve, Revolut) use a firm called GPS to process card payments and when that goes down they all suffer.

Some of the firm's have moved away from GPS/are bringing the functionality in-house or are open on explaining the GPS issue.

Starling seem to be less inclined to do so.
