From what i have read it would be any of these

VMG8324-B10A
VMG8924-B10A
VMG1312-B10A

The last one is a smaller option if only modem used

Thanks

I have seen VMG1312-B10A on a auction site and it says its from AAISP
Will this be locked in anyway or will it be just a case of updating the firmware to the latest one from zyxel website if it has not already done so and putting bt login details?

A unit originally from A&A would only need to have its ROM-D cleared. Which is a trivial task.

However in your initial post you mentioned --

. . . which one would be the best modem to be used in bridge mode?

If that is still true, then the following makes no sense --

. . . putting [in] bt login details?

Any such credentials should be in the routing device's configuration, not in that of a bridging modem.

Thank you for all the info. Much appreciated
So how can I purchase this modem without clearing roms? As on the auctions sites alot of them wont say what isp they are from. And if you ask alot don’t have a clue

It is documented, in more than one location, on this forum.

I don't have a URL to hand paw but if you perform a search on the string "VMG1312-B10A" you should find details, along with a lot of other useful information.

Having just typed that sentence, I had my attention drawn to a topic that I started ten months ago.

An ex AAISP Zyxel will be fine as b*cat says.
It's very easy to clear the Rom-D which makes it stock/retail firmware.

By using a compatible modem and running the Vectoring command.

Some ISP devices tell you if Vectoring is enabled but most don't.

Only a small number of publicly funded (BDUK) cabinets have Vectoring.
You can check if your cabinet is a BDUK funded cabinet by following this guide.

Thanks for that. That is some useful information. Really good
But it still doesn’t state if it is g.vector enabled?
I have read through it all but can’t seem to find it unless im missing something

The chances are G.Vector (Vectoring) isn't enabled.

It is only used on a very small number of targeted BDUK cabinets to increase the number of properties on the cabinet who can achieve SuperFast speeds.

There's no database anywhere or any way to find out which cabinets have Vectoring enabled.
It requires someone connected to the cabinet with a modem that displays the right info, to establish if a cabinet has Vectoring.

I'm sure staff in OpenReach with the relevant privileges could look up some internal database to establish if a cabinet has Vectoring.
For us mere mortals there is no such way to tell.

The codelook site will you know if your particular cabinet was BDUK funded.

If it wasn't BDUK funded then it definitely doesn't have Vectoring.
If it was BDUK funded then it probably doesn't have Vectoring (most don't) but it might.

In short cabinets with Vectoring are few and far between. You need to have a modem that can display Vectoring status to tell if it is active.
