Modem router advice
« on: August 07, 2019, 04:31:47 PM »

Hi
I have a hg612 at the moment is there newer better alternatives that are better for lines? Don't have any problems with it just wondered if I could get better out my line?

My second question is there a good cheap router that you would recommend?

Thanks for any advice

For use as just a modem, choose one from the ZyXEL VMGnnnn-B10x range and configure it appropriately.

I will always suggest the VMG1312-B10A but they are non-current ZyXEL devices and tend to be sold at a premium price (on eBay). Avoid the VMG1312-B10D.

Other member have different favourites from the ZyXEL VMGnnnn-B10x range.

I was thinking about the VMG1312-B10A do all the other VMGnnnn-B10x range have the same modem chipset and speed reliability?
