Pangur Bàn unhappy
« on: August 04, 2019, 11:01:11 AM »

On Friday night Pangur Bàn was limping and groaned and growled whenever Somhairle tried to play with him. He seemed so unhappy that Janet phoned the vet about him. They discussed possibilities and the vet told Janet to give him some loxicom for the pain - luckily we always have some in stock. That really worked, he became quite sleepy and just curled up in a ball and rested. In the morning he seemed a million times better, he even agreed to a bit of moderately gentle wrestling with his little playmate, as usual.

I’m wondering what on earth it was. Janet wonders if he perhaps was stung? She could not see any marks on him at all. He moaned at being picked up, found it difficult to jump up onto the bed. Right now the two kittens are curled up on the bed by me, so things getting back to normal.

It reads as if it was just "one of those things".

A bee, wasp or hornet sting? A severe prodding by a thistle? holly bushes? rose bushes?

The good thing is that he seems to be over it, whatever "it" might have been.
