Your kind thoughts are very very much appreciated, perhaps more than you know. The more the merrier.
She was such a huge part of my life, in bed with me every day. She probably spent eighteen hours a day in the crook of my arm or under the duvet. The only time she wasn’t with me was either: when she was sunbathing, when it was dinner time or time to toast in front of the fire or on top of the Rayburn downstairs in the evening. It’s been a horrible week, I’ve been trying to get my mind off it.
The kittens have been looking very confused, when they come upstairs she isn’t there so she must still be downstairs, so they are not concerned - she’s always in the wrong room. They look under the edge of the duvet for her, up by my chin, to check that they are not treading in her. They have taken over part of her duties. Pangur Bàn is now sitting on my knees every night and Somhairle is next to him, on my ankles. They are now very large heavy kittens. Their presence is extremely comforting.
