Alien equipment bt exchange
« on: July 04, 2019, 11:03:40 AM »

Hi
A question out of interest, do some rural bt exchanges got cellular mobile phone aerials installed and what is a
circular 1ft thick about 2ft diameters slightly concave "dish like a satellite dish" outside a bt exchange used for.
The title is just for a laugh as I do not know what this dish is.  ;D

That’s a historical thing back to when BT owned Cellnet (now O2). Exchanges are a good location for mobile phone masts, since the backhaul capability is in the building underneath.
